Morgan Hageman is a multi-media artist based out of the city of five seasons in midwestern Iowa.

She received her BFA at The Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, MO then moved back to her hometown for a ceramics residency at the Iowa Ceramics Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. Cedar Rapids is now where she continues her work under the newly formed MH Unicorn Rooster LLC. With a major in ceramics she mainly focuses her pieces around this medium but has begun to combine photo, fibers, and painting.

Currently her work is broken up into photo prints, sculpture and functional ceramic wares.

Working out of her studio she produces a style and subject based around the human form. Her influences come from an early interest in Waterhouse’s and Botticelli’s female figures, combined with her current study into the meanings of flowers and their relationship to her pottery forms. She uses her life’s day to day influence in the contemporary world to create a continuing body of work all her own.
